Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapists focus on promoting health and wellbeing by enabling people to participate in the everyday occupations of life, such as self-care activities including showering, preparing food; productive activities such as education, work; and leisure/social activities, such as being part of a community group and/or engaging in a hobby. This may include modifying an activity or an environment. Occupational therapists (OTs) prescribe devices to help you do the activities you want and need to do. They are also experts at home modifications to increase safety, for example placing a handrail in the shower room.
